"ClearVid" and "3ClearVid" are quite different. ClearVid is for single chip camcorders (HC3 and 10000). 3ClearVid is for three-chip camcorders (V1 and FX7). The FX1 uses three CCDs.
The Z7 uses 3ClearVid with EXMOR tech.
One assumes that future ClearVid chips will also use EXMOR.
