having a closer shortest focus point ?
I wonder if there is a way to minimise the focus point.
When the EX1 is at the wider zoom, with iris full open, I can't get the focus closer to 50/70cm (haven't made a mesure). I need to be able to get focus closer to that. Maybe the MACRO mode can do this ? In what range can the focus point be set then ? Maybe I can add a lense (French word for that is a "bonnette") to the front of the lens to change the minimum focus point ? Thanks. |
Replying to myself...
The MACRO mode does everything I want. The only trick is you have not to be on full manual focus mode. Move to assist focus and you're OK. I'll post some footage soon. |

don't be sarcastic... :)
I tried it without success until I found you musn't be in full manual focus. |

A diopter will do what you need to do here. Look at our 86mm diopters with an 86-77 step ring. You could also use other step rings to use this on other cams as well. We also make this in 1.6+ and 2.6+ variants. http://www.schneideroptics.com/ecomm...D=1088&IID=903 I have a calculation file available that will give you the minimum focus distance with the diopter applied.
