This company is local to me and I was thinking of having them build me a system. They have a "system builder" online and I was looking at something like this.

They also have the Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz 95W G0 option fo rthe processor.. I dont really know about this stuff though. Would Quad core be better?

That above spec will end up costing about £800.

That's about £675. But I have no idea about this overlocking stuff. They do it all for you but are overlocked computers safe and a good option for editing.

Sorry for what may seem like draft questions here.. Im just really nervous about getting the wrong machine.

You could also (but illegal) build a "hackintosh" compatible computer and have OSX Leopard installed on it and use FCP...

search for hackintosh on google.

sounds quite nice but i've heard quite a few horror stories with over clocking machines including early death of processor, speed drop outs and overheating. Of course many people are using overclocked systems fine but for my video editing i dont think i would
