My First EX1 Vid

Did this little vid as a thanks for the band, they've been awesome to me and I love working with em. This was just me and my camera so the shots are all patched together from all over the place but still kinda dig it ... but then I'm a fan. =)

I will say that having shot almost the same show just a couple months ago with the A1 I'm blown away. So much easier to shoot in the darkness of a club and catching those oh so wonderful debth of field moments that I wouldn't have gotten without the ex1.

Check it and lemme know whatcha think. And if youre on Vimeo, leave some comments so I can feel like one of the cool kids!!!

Really well done.

Captured the feel and pulse of the event. Excellent editing too.

Up the EX 1!

Cheers Vaughan

Shot at what frame size, frame rate, Picture Profile, gain, shutter, etc?
Audio from CD or taken from the live mix to?
The flashing lights of the club didn't seem to hurt at all btw.

I commented on this elsewhere but since then I'm feeling the image is almost too clean for the content. On the upside you can add grunge easier than you can get rid of it.

Thanks all!

It was shot at full 1920 x 1080 HQ, 24P, Default Profile, and the opening audio is camera, then mixed into the CD, than back to live. There is some color grading done in MB on about half the shots, more for effect than correction. I went with the default profile since, for all of my tinkering, I haven't found a look I "love" yet and decided to play it safe.

Sweet video. Just curious, how many songs did you have to shoot through to get all that great footage for that one? It looked really well lip-synced for a live one-camera job and some cuts looked like you ran across the room just to get the next shot.
