The EX1 doesn't have a menu option where you choose what it's component puts out? I've got to test this next time I use one.

I still don't see how 60 fields is better than 60 frames. And on the topic of monitors. I don't understand why all of these LCD monitors are so expensive when their resoultion seems low to me. Computer LCD monitors (while I know are mass produced and are not as special as broadcast monitors) have been high resolution and costing in the low hundreds for a long time. I would rate focus and exposure as being the most important elements for a preview monitor. And this seems pretty obtainable with a computer LCD, it's just that they are all A/C and often too large for location work. |
