XDCAM Clip Browser can't find my files...

I'm having a problem of my clip browser not being able to find the files on my camera. All it says is "Please insert disk into removable disk (H)" I'm trying to transer footage to my pc via clip browser and to convert the files to .mxf for Sony Vegas. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

-Dennis

i imagine you have done these steps already but:

-check you have put your camera into USB mode by selecting execute when attached to the pc

-Ensure that your pc is recognizing your camera in 'my computer' if not try the 'search for new hardware' option in control panel or restart your computer with the camera attached.

-make sure the clip browser is pointing at the right drive, sometimes drives and letters change place according to whats attached to the pc at the time.

-try a different usb lead

-most importantly try your camera on a different pc to make sure the usb pins in your camera arent damaged

I know it's all pretty basic but you never know.

I finally figured it out yesterday but i'm trying to figure out how to make clip browser automatically detect or capture from my camera when it's plugged in, instead of having to go and manually find it like I did.
