Clip browser and Powerbook
 

Hello all.

Can I use an old Powerbook G4 to transfer clips from the SxS cards? The laptop will use one of the Sony card readers, but I'm wondering about is if the clip browser software will operate on the old PowerPC chips. Do I absolutely need the clip browser software? Or can I just copy over the files?

Clip Browser is Intel only.

You can use ShotPut though.

You can copy by hand but you really need to be careful about one BPAV replacing another (given the same name). You should create separate folders for each card (ShotPut can do this for you).

You can use Transfer Tool on PPC but that'll go straight to MOV.
