Insurance For EX1

I am having a hard time finding someone who will insure my EX1 for theft/damage. I live in the Dallas area. Any leads would be appreciated.

I am not in the uSA but my camera is insured on my household policy. Much cheaper than a specific insurance just for the camera.

I have business insurance with Travellers and they have insured everything I have with full replacement value. Domestic and International..

My household policy (State Farm) will not cover the camera because it was bought under a business name even though it is a sole proprietorship.

I have my gear insured with these folks: TAYLOR & TAYLOR ASSOCIATES

They are very reasonable. I think it's under $800 for up to $50,000 worth of gear world wide with a $500 deductible.

They should be able to take care of your needs

Go to the NPPA.org site and they'll lead you to any kind of equipment and rental insurance you need with Hays.

If you don't tell them you got that camera or using it for business, it might not be insured.

Be careful with rvnuccio. Unless you are ONLY an event videographer (weddings, birthdays and the like) your stuff will NOT be covered.

They spell that out specifically in their requirements.

If you shoot any commercials, documentaries, short films, features, you won't be covered with rvnuccio.

They insured my gear for a year, but never told me about their requirements. So my stuff wasn't really covered. If you ever want to talk with someone on the phone, don't hold your breath. I left message after message and rarely received a callback.

Maybe they've changed. That was my experience.

Yep only for events and I NEVER call. Handle everything online BUT I am looking into someone else as I need some coverage to take care of my gear when I'm doing work besides events however Nuccio has been good to me for the last 5 or so years so I can't complain overall.
