Latest Firmware for PMW-EX1 1.11 or 2.0 .....
 

I only see 1.11 on any Sony Websites but my dealer said 1.11 is for 32 GB cards but 2.0 is for the HDD drive unit , is there is one version for the camcorder an the other for the HDD or two versions for the camcorder but 2.0 is the latest ... but i cant find any confirmation that it is the case or even that version 2.0 exist.

Please confirm since i dont want to send back my PMW-EX1 unit for nothing .....

As far as I know, 1.11 is the most current version. I sent my Ex-1 in to the Teaneck site for firmware upgrade and it came back with 1.11 and worked with the PHU-60k I purchased (though I have since returned the drive- see related thread).

I haven't tried it with the 32gb but assume it'll work. I've never heard of 2.0.

Possibly confusing the Browser version 2.0?

Help...does anyone know if I can buy and download this update and instructions how to do it? I can not find it for download anywhere.

I just got the HDD and my 1 month old camera has firm 1.05 and need it to work by tomorrow for a long seminar. I could not imagine they will sell cameras that does not work with their own HDD without a painful update. Do they consider they sold this camera full with bugs and problems too cheap, so now they have to make more money out of anything?
