SxS changing slots

Sent camera in for power board fix and firmware upgrade to 1.05 (current at time of service).
Went to use camera today and every time i press the menu button the card slot changes from one to the other. I can even tap the top part of the camera near the slots and it changes automatically.
Pressing the actual slot buttons in which there is no noticable depression compared to all the other buttons (its seems stuck). But it does change the slots but only after pressing hard and keeping pressed for a few seconds.

anyone had this problem!

Sounds like a physical problem when the case was reassembled. I don't really know how the camera goes together, and this is just a theory, but it seems like there was a misalignment that caused the slot select button to be jammed down such that it is almost making contact and that the slightest depression which distorts the EX1 case near the slot select button causes it to activate. This would explain why the slot select button itself has no springiness.

Definitely send it back to Sony.

Jason,
I asked about the battery drain fix and the tech told me they replace a couple PCBs.

It's possible that there is a loose connector or other issue when they performed this mod.

Sounds almost exactly like what they did to mine when they "fixed" the wearing paint problem. They replaced the back plate but reassembled it so that they jammed my mic switches under the plate rendering them useless. Another trip to the Sony shop in San Jose fixed it.
