Clipbrowser .vs. Shotput

Is Shotput that much more helpful than Clipbroswer to copy cards?

Well for one thing, you don't need an Intel Mac to use it. You can copy to 3 drives at once with error checking, BUT! . . . you can only do one card at a time from your camera.

I believe you can't view the clips in Shotput as you can in ClipBrowser.

You could use the latest version of VLC Player though for previewing them.

I also find that not all Shotput files show up in XDCAM Transfer 2.7. They always show up when I transfer using Clip Browser.

I am using a PC laptop and my interest is in offloading cards in the field is I need to reuse the cards. Being in the IT industry for many years, I am insistant on having proper backups. If offloading the the field I would want at least 2 backups to external drives. I have an expresscard slot for the SxS and want to quickest solution to get 2 copies from there. My understanding is that Shotput can copy to multiple destination automatically once I set that up. The other method without Shotput would be to use Clipbrowser to copy from SxS to the first drive and then I can just do an inter Windows copy from the first drive to the second?

Will Shotput do this faster?
