Since I've bought the camera I've shot mostly handheld footage (mostly for testing/messing around with the camera) and don't have any issues with the way it looks. I was a lot more concerned with any macroblocking that this camera would get doing handheld work and have no issues with it (even in SP/HDV mode it holds up a lot better than true HDV cams).

Before buying this camera I was told this camera shouldn't be used inside a moving car to get shots out of the window. I did that test as well and don't see any issues. Driving past a bunch of light poles, a flag pole, etc...no complaints. As you can see from my tests if you're panning really hard against a picket fence or something yes you'll see it. But even running with the camera it doesn't look horrendous.
