CamRade has designed a CamBag specifically for the PMWEX3!

The CamRade CB-SINGLE III CamBag for the PMWEX3 is constructed of 1000 stitch Cordura and has an extra layer of PVC built into the multi-layered padded walls and the outer fabric shell.

Hi - thanks for the info on the bag.
But looking at the photos, how is this bag specifically for the EX-3? I may not be seeing it, but this just looks like a simple cube shape that the EX-3 fits ok. I did'nt see any specific padding or shaped interior which I would expect, ie, like the kata bags.
I have bought two bags looking for the best way to carry the EX-3 on my travels - which are in very remote areas. So far I have two new kata bags as well as my old kata bags. The one thing about kata is that they are comfortable to use - big soft padded broad carry straps or backpack harnesses. Even the bags are shaped to fit aginst the body. In your photos, this bag has a thin carry strap, which I find hard to use with a cube shape bag an din fairness, not up to the job at these prices.
I am still looking for that perfect bag I suppose - but still not sure about this one.

Thank you for your interest in the new CamRade CB-Single III!

The CB-Single III was designed by CamRade with the PMWEX1 and EX3 specifically in mind.
It is very similar to their CB-Single II, but larger now and with padding to protect the viewfinder on the EX3. If you notice in picture View5a and View6a, you will see a pad which holds and protects the viewfinder. Also, the sides of the bag are lined with PVC and double padding for protection as well. The top is also well padded and easy to open for run and gun operations. The CB-Single III does come with a large padded shoulder strap to carry it with (very similar to Porta Brace's), shown in View2a. There is plenty of room for accessories and it even comes with a white balance card! There are no backpack harnesses as this is not a backpack. CamRade does however have the TM-Handy I which you can view at CamRade TMHANDYI

For those of you wondering, this bag is not small enough to use as a carry-on for airlines.

I do find that with a sale price of $214.00, this bag is well worth the investment.

I just purchased the Portabrace CTC-1 bag. Takes my EX3, Fujinon XS 17 x 5.5 HD broadcast lens, WRR radio mic, On camera mic, Rycote Softie and a few other bits and pieces, all very nicely I might add.

The VF with eyepiece sits in the extension perfectly. The cube shaped foam stoppers can be positioned (I have 1 at the bottom rear of the bag) to help keep the camera from sliding around, especially if it has the original lens, making it shorter than my rig.

I am very happy with the bag. I suits my requirements and according to PAB, it is aeroplane (or airplane depending where you live) carry on friendly, exterior dimensions totalling 117cm (although the limit is 115cm) but I'm sure it will be OK.

I am testing the carry on mid December.

The Kata PB-502 is a great back pack for this camera. Plus, it accepts the trolley if you prefer wheels.

I've got a spare one (read brand new) if anyone is interested...

I forgot to post my EX3 wet suit... LOL actually a sand suit...Worked good and it looks SOOO professional.. er... right?
