Yet another lurker surfaces...

Oh well, I suppose I better stop lurking and say hello...

HELLO!

I am another proud new EX1 user (except for the teeny detail that I haven't actually used it yet...) The camera arrives tomorrow, so I am excited and looking forward to the whole experience.

I have been reading all your posts for about a month and have learnt a great deal, so thanks everyone, got delkins and SDHC cards, got pre-warned about rolling shutter, done some reading on flash xdr, thanks to everyone from the newbie! I am liking pretty much most things I hear about the EX1.

I am also a video camera novice, so this is a completely new thing for me, not an upgrade from an older camera. Although I do have some experience of 35mm photography.

Thanks for some valuable info which guided the purchase!

Simon

Congratulation, your going to love it. Good luck. You'll get some beautiful stuff in Zimbabwe!

Congrats!

Once you post your first video for us to compliment/tear apart, we can then reveal the secret handshake.

Congrats indeed.
Wonderful camera.
Takes lots of use to get to know it and its infinite settings.

First, the tumbs up ... the rest is secret ... anyone else remember the rest?

Are you sure there was something else to follow ;-)

Congratulations Simon, you will be completely beside yourself when you first see the images.

Take your time to get to know the camera, as I am sure you will. It takes more than a few days to become comfortable with the buttons and what all the things in the menus do. The user manual is frustrating on a lot of levels but worth a continual revisit as you get more comfortable with the camera. And of course get out there frequently and shoot with it.
