SP 1080/24P imports as 60i
 
Hey Folks I was wondering why my footage that was shot in SP 1080/24P mode imports as
HDV 108060i. Does it suppose to import as 24P ? or am I missing something here.

What editing program are you using? If you check the camera manual SP 24p mode is done over 60i, as all Sony HDV formats do.

I'm using FCP 6.0.5 ya I guess I should have read the manual. I'm just test shooting now and trying to figure out a work flow with my Z7. So how do I get it to 24P if it imports as 60i.

Remove the 3:2 pulldown.

So would I do that in Compressor or can you do it in FCP.

Cineform will do that. Download the trial version of NEO Scene (compatible with Mac).
