Sony EX1/3 owners smile at this email.....
I got this email this morning as I might do this shoot next week for this producer.....and this
part is what got me: "Hi Bill, Glad to hear you have the EX-3. I've been debating on whether to bring my HVX-200 or rent a EX-3 (or EX-1). We did a similar shoot in ATL and used the EX-1 and got great results. I will have to look at the budget to see what I can afford as far as the camera rental. Thanks for your help." So, if a producer, who "owns " a HVX-200, and wants to pay extra money to rent the EX3...... it really shows me, how well he really likes his Panasonic HVX-200......... So, tonight I will sleep better knowing that I have made the right move in getting the EX3. I Hope all is well with everybody..... |
Well to be fair, the HVX isn't really designed to compete with the EX1. The HPX170 is.

I know what your all saying....I was just taken back on what I read in his email.....so, life does go on......
|
there is nothing wrong with trying to get a better image, I really lilke my EX1, but as soon as something better, hope it'll be scarlet, is on the market, it'll be gone for good.
and before I replace my cameras, I always rent for a day or two the one I want to get. renting other cameras also helps me "sleep better" cuz I don't think, I know I have a camera that is right for me. but that's me :) |
