My EX1 will be here tomorrow.
 

I finally pulled the trigger and ordered the Sony Ex1 and "Mastering the Sony PMW-EX1" DVD.

I look forward to this new camera, I wanted something better in low light, and although photography is my main source of income, video helps and I do about a half dozen weddings a year that are either stand alone video, or basic edit video added to photography.

I was shooting with 2 Canon XHA1's and a HV30.

Now will have the EX1, HV30 and 5D Mark II.

I hope this wont be a nightmare to match up in post, if so may have to replace the HV30.

Anyways, thanks to all that answered all my questions about the EX1.

You will love the cam, especially with its lowlight capabilities. I had Canon XM2 (horror) and Sony VX2100 (wonderful) before in SD. With EX1 at -3db the lowlight is even better than with VX2100. See some golden effects here:

(The video is no masterpiece, especially since I overexposed some bright comets because I could not close iris fast and far enough ;))

I thought the video was fantastic, great stuff.
