EX1 not mounting with usb to mac pro
I've installed the SxS driver and the EX1 is not mounting with a usb cable to a mac pro..
Am I doing something wrong? I dont get any messages on the camera or anything nothing is happening. Thanks for any help! |
You don't need the SxS driver for USB transfers, but that probably isn't involved in your problem. You can safely un-install the driver if you like.
Okay, no offense, but I have to ask the obvious questions: Is there a card in the camera? Is the camera powered on? Can you mount other USB storage devices? When you look in System Profiler (in Applications/Utilities) under the "USB" heading, does the camera appear in the list of USB devices? If you plug in your camera after launching System Profiler, you need to refresh (View->Refresh). |
Yes to all the obvious questions no offense taken at all haha
So I got an update my friend (the owner of the camera) told be that someone somehow broke the usb port on the camera so I guess it doesn't work. What other options do I have to get this thing to connect to my comp? I can't spend $250 on a card reader right now and I don't have access to a mac book pro. Is there any other options? thanks! |
Firewire is available on EX1

Is the camera powered up in CAMERA mode or MEDIA mode? (I think it needs to be in MEDIA mode)
