go to this link to hear the audio i have from the r with the slight echo frm on cam mic. i forgot to switch to the line under xlr input, only did ext mic on back of cam. tried doing the panning wont work here. any audio program that will lower/take out that slight background sound?

The echo is from the room. Since the talker's mouth sounds appropriately close, the reverb from the room must have been quite loud. Nothing you can do about it unless you want to "gate" or "downward compress" the signal. But that may very well make it sound worse.

The Left channel is recorded too low (-18dB) and the Right channel is clipped at -6dB. Dunno what you were feeding into each channel, or how, but neither of them is very optimal. But that has nothing to do with the reverb issue.

I listened to it and I didn't have any big complaints. If anything, it gave a sense of the space your speaker was in. I'm not sure how your shot(s) were composed, but if there were any shots that included the room or audience, it seemed like an appropriate mix of speaker and room ambience.
