EX1 Picture Problem
 

I have a strange problem on my EX1. When I shoot in 24p shutter 1/60 without ND, You can see the electric waves or pulse like the old monitors.

if I change shutter time to 1 / 50 or 50 ECS, the problem seems solved or at least the waves are not visible. I tried to put flicker off but nothing changes.
any suggestions?

Try shooting at 48.

I will be surprised if that doesn't get worse over time.

I'm pretty certain that isn't a setting problem but a power supply problem.

Is the camera out of warranty?

I would have the camera checked out by Sony. If it does it every time.

Also you really should be using 1/48 shutter on 24p.

It looks like some kind of RF interference. Does this happen in different locations? Are you or anyone using any other equipment nearby, cel phone or any type of radio transmitter.

And is it only with 1/60 shutter?

Try 1/120 as well, is it the same?

Here's another thought - and I am probably barking up the wrong tree, but...

did you shoot this on an EX1R with the LCD panel either folded away or facing forward?

On my EX1R (not EX1), if the panel is folded in or is pointing forward, I get a buzz on the audio channel - I am guessing that if your LCD panel does a similar thing it is affecting the video rather than audio.

Either that, or somebody's made 'the big glowing dayball' run off cheap LEDs or AC.
