Lens Remote cable to 2.5mm LANC cable
 

Hey guys,
Just purchased and received a jib but have a small problem I'm hoping you can advise me on. We use a couple of Sony EX-1 cameras but these cameras do not have a true LANC connection but as you all know uses an 8 pin cable that connects to the lens remote connection. I understand it works similar to a LANC connection but only allows for zoom and on/off operation. Our LANC controller uses a 2.5mm cable but I've not come up with a way to connect this to our EX-1 cameras. Varizoom sells an adapter cable for the 8 pin Sony lens remote connection that in turn connects the EX-1 to a Canon 8 pin or a Fujinon 8 pin LANC controller. But how do we connect the 2.5mm cable to this adapter cable ? Or is there a different way to do this ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The two are not compatible, you'll have to use a standard Canon/Fujinon controller.
