does your ex1 get warm?

hey everybody,

i never noticed it before, but my ex1 is getting warm (not really hot, but warm) when it is in use.
is this normal?

thanks!

Yes it gets very hot sometimes. There is an "air" gap insulating the memory & battery from the rest of the body so that the sensor isn't affected by the heat generated.

Mine certainly warms up (I would call it hot), especially when shooting for a long period and on hot days. You can hear the fan spinning to try and cool it. If you put it in a cover make sure you give it room around the gap so it can get some cooling.

Make sure you shut down the camera before bagging it!

I made this mistake on one of my first shoots and it overheated (with a warning) sending me into a panic. I put the EX1 aside and grabbed my FX1. In a couple of minutes the EX was fine.

Hand warmer

Hey, I was told the cam had a built in hand warmer. I paid extra for that feature!!
