Well put. i can't believe how naive ad agencies think the american public is. these quasi-reality("real people") spots are getting ridiculous. they have been for years, but this ad along with the Pizza Hut pasta served in fine dinning restaurants trick and most recently the Domino's Pizza survey groups being unaware that they're actually on a farm or a kitchen when the room's walls collapse.
currently, i watch most commercials while the tv is muted. this seems to help with the obnoxiousness of the audio, but the visual content is still unbearable. eventually, i'm gonna have to stop watching tv all together or buck up and pay for a DVR.
btw, has anyone seen Mike Judge's "Idiocracy"? I think that movie was set somewhere around the 26th century to intentionally draw in more viewers without actually insulting them in the process.
