Guidelines for shooting for TV

Hi all,

Thank you in advance for your help as I haven't been able to find information on this.

I usually deliver and host client commercials online, but now I have a client who would like one for HDTV broadcast. Should I shoot any differently than I have been for HD web? I'm thinking 1080p @ 30fps, with some slow-mo "60fps" shots mixed in between (it's a sports commercial). Should I change anything during production? How about for delivery? I'm not sure what TV companies ask for---a file? A blue ray DVD? Should I send a massive .mov file? Any help would be much appreciated!

For spot delivery I use DGFastchannel. Their competitor ExtremeReach is also worth noting.
They each have specs for delivery. They do spot distribution. This is all FTP based.
Please contact them for their delivery specs.

Generally HD delivery is 1080i59.94 but you can still shoot 30p and encode to 60i.
