 Upgrading firmware using SDHC adapter?

Having trouble upgrading to the latest EX1r Firmware using Sony SDHC adapter. Camera doesn't recognize the update file. Tried several different cards a three adapters. No luck.
Has anybody successfuly upgraded firmware without using a true SxS card? Cliff |

You do realize Sony suggest that you only use sxs or sxs pro? I would suggest if you don't have one, borrow one. It only takes 30 minutes. I am upgrading my firmware as I type.
	Good luck, Al |

All done. Worked perfect. Actually took less than 30 minutes.

I have only used the real SxS cards to do firmware upgrades.

When did that method of firmware updating start? You used to have to attach the camera to a PC via the hidden USB port.

		There are both options.
The download I have for V1.15 lists instructions only for SxS update. The one for V1.20 has 2 separate documents, "readme-HowToUpgradeViaSxS(E).pdf" and "readme-HowToUpgradeViaUSB(E).pdf", the second requiring you to download the PC updater separately from the actual firmware. |

It works with the Sony SDHC adapter. You have to put the BIN file in PRIVATE > SONY instead of the root of the card. It should be a BPAV folder and a update BIN file in the SONY folder.
