EX3 remote record on/off
 
Looking for an external record on/off for the EX3 that does not connect to the lens. Tried the Bebob and Libec units but both need to go into the lens because their main function is zoom control. We use a Canon 150-600mm manual lens. Anything out there that plugs into the camera?

If you record to a NanoFlash, it has its own start stop wired remote.

Otherwise use the IR unit that came with the camera. I never turn on that feature unless I have to to avoid accidental triggering of functions. But it works fine to stop/start.
