Sony PXW-X70 E:62:10 Error Message

Hi. I have 2 PXW-X70s. I take them into the field to shoot documentaries... mostly indoor talking heads but sometimes outdoor festivals with music - I baby my equipment.

Within a year of purchase, both registered an E:62:10 lens error that rendered them inoperable and required a return to Sony for repair (fortunately, both under warranty). Both times, Sony took amazing care of me! The cameras were repaired and returned within a week (air-freighted back). I'm very grateful! However...

Has anyone else experienced this problem on this camera? And, if so, are you concerned the error may reoccur?

Hi Donald. Thanks for the response.

Yes, I did try that but in my case, it didn't work. My error is also a E:62:10 versus a E:61:10.

Maybe the Error difference is subtle.

Yes, same thing happened to my x70. Purchased 9/15 sent it back in 4/16. My repair time was about 6-7 weeks unfortunately.
