Re: 2/3" lens on Sony F3 via homebrew adapter
As soon as I get a full production unit, I'll post some grabs. I forgot to do it when we were doing the testing.

Re: 2/3" lens on Sony F3 via homebrew adapter
Alister;
Is there any reason i could not use your B4->Canon with a Canon -> Emount on my FS100? And maybe i should cross post this on the FS forum if it's a workable concept? d |
Re: 2/3" lens on Sony F3 via homebrew adapter
This was one of our intentions and Mike will be selling a kit for the FS100 to go B4-Canon-Sony E.
The only issue with an FS100 is how to power the zoom lens as they require 12v and the FS100 batts are 7.2v |
Re: 2/3" lens on Sony F3 via homebrew adapter
An AB plate with power taps on the back of the rails should cover off the 12v needs?

Re: 2/3" lens on Sony F3 via homebrew adapter
How would an older 2/3" 4:3 lens go on your adapter on the F3? Was your original Canon J16 4:3? I've been looking at used HD lenses which are presumably all 16:9 but curious if SD 4:3 would work?

Re: 2/3" lens on Sony F3 via homebrew adapter
Pretty much any 2/3" lens will fit. The lens must have a 2x extender, which you do need to use, but other than that almost anything will work. However the quality of the image will depend on the lens. HD lenses are generally better, but I can get useable results from my old Canon J16.
