4:2:2 HDMI output?

Hi,

just got my Blackmagic Hyperdeck Shuttle and can't get any small bnc connectors SDI cables, so I'm stuck with the HDMI port on my recorder. My question is: Is the HDMI output on the Sony F3 10bit 4:2:2 just as it is on the FS100?

Kind regards,
Chris

The Hyperdeck shuttle is great with only two caveats:

1. The SDI connectors are kind of mini BNC connectors. Very very hard to find cables for this kind of connectors. Maybe someone here can point me to a source?!

2. Only specific SSDs work. Blackmagic includes a white paper with a list of confirmed SSD models. I have tried a SSD which wasn't on the list first and got drop frames. With the confirmed SSD (Kingston) everything worked great.

I have posted a review of using the Shuttle with my 5DMK2 for uncompressed recordeing on my blog:

Check it out! :-)

You can buy cables online at B&H Photo. 1.0/2.3 to BNC adaptor.

HDMI on the FS100 is only 8bit.

Yeah, but what about the F3 HDMI output?

My guess would be 8 bit. It's only really there for monitoring.
