Steadicam with touchscreen LCD cam

The Sony Models PDX10 etc have touchscreen focus, exposure via the LCD

Seems like an easier way when mounted on a Steadicam

Any Views?

I realise not to touch during a shot but setting up a shot maybe easier?

For me, the easiest way is a full manual lens like the Canon 14x...instant setting of both without having to push buttons. As you pointed out, you don't want to have to do this during the shot. Conveniently, DV has such a great depth of field that you usually can do a "set and forget" for focus, unless using particularly long lenses.

I find its a bit like an astonaut fixing a satellite trying to adjust the cam controls when the steadicam is not parked up.

The spot exposure via touchscreen is really useful in this scenario compared to diving into menus.
