Any footage?

Joachim Hoge August 13th, 2008 12:34 AM

Sorry no, my friend have the footage.
As it was just a test and we never intend to use it I didn´t load it into my Mac
I´ll see if I can get hold of it in the next few days

I bought this:
Sony Handycam Audio Video Cable - VMC15FS - Buy.com
and cut it down to a short adapter

Please help.

I just got a Steadicam Pilot yesterday, I also have an EX1 and am having much difficulty balancing it. Any tips, pointers, pictures would be greatly appreciated.

I use a Manfrotto Rapid Connect Adapter which makes it much easer to move between sticks and steadicam.

I've flown 4 different Sony cameras on the Pilot (EX1, EX3, V1U, Z1U) and they all seemed slightly heavy on the lens end, so in order to get good dynamic balance, I had to move the tripod adapter 1 hole back in the Pilot's cheese plate. Here's how it looks with the EX3:

By comparison, the HVX seems to work fine in the middle hole.

Hope this helps.

move the EX1 towards the back of the mounting plate and also to the left. That hand grip has some weight in it.

also rotate the hand grip around so its vertical which allows you to get to the CVBS output of the camera & you can also put large wireless receivers on top of it in that position with a bit of gaff holding them on.
