Make your own Steadicam (?)
 

Anyone tried this? I am definitely going to give this a try. It seems easy enough. I already made my own crane. That was 5 hours of fun and it looks awesome on video!!

The crane cost me $38 when all was said and done.

OK I searched and found some plans... now I have to wait on the arrival of my XL1...

I wouldn't call building a steadicam easy, but it's certainly possible.
