Hi Tery,

Thanks

Yes, I have a three axis gimbal, but diy one.

I will check what I can do make it move freely.

It would be great for all our American fellow to visit New Zealand. ;-) You are most welcome. ;-) You can walk in National Park and do all sorts of crazy stuff. ;-)

Regards
Leigh

Leigh,

Nice footage. Does your rig have a three axis gimbal? I ask as I see some left to right movement as you walk and that is what I used to get with a rig I had that didn't have a bearing around the post. In other words, the post didn't move freely.

I missed the oriental music.

Tery

P.S. We're making our plans to visit New Zeland next year at Christmas time. I hear it's a great place.

Another video go up stairs and down stairs.

I found both shots were difficult and needs more exercise.

WMV format
File size around 28mbytes

Hi Leigh,

I liked the fact that I can watch a streaming video now! How do you get on that system?

Like was said before...You have the walking forward thing down pretty good. I did notice a bit of side to side movement though. Maybe a bit too much control hand or a stiff gimbal bearing. Just a thought.

How about a video of you walking around your father as he is walking forwards.

Maybe a shot of you walking towards your father who is walking towards you. Then as you get close to him reverse and walk in the same direction as he is going while trying to maintain a good frame of him. These are challenging shots that you be interesting to watch.

I took a satellite tour of your area (North Shore) in NZ. Nice. If I knew more about where you live I could find it on the satellite.

If I understand your question correctly, all you need to do is just register yourself to google video site. Then use a program developed by google to upload the video to the server and fill in the description.

I don't like the steam version, as google recode my video to make it much smaller. But it is better than nothing, so I just simply upload my video to my own server and at the same time to google server too. It is free from google, so I should not complain. ;-)

Mikko,

I'm working on that. We are going to NZ next year at this time (Dec) and hope to meet up with Leigh.

Leigh,

Thanks for the information. I'm looking forward to the video I suggested.

I'm going to register with google and upload a shot I did. The shot description is...accelerate straigtht, corner, locked-off (short), backwards (missionary), locked-off, corner, straight, corner, straight to a stop. It's not too complicated but still requires a good amount of skill. You'll see I didn't get all of it right but I tried.

Hi Mikko,

You are clever. ;-)

Merry Christmas

It was a great year for me to learn so many things. My garden gets better and better. The fish number in my pond double. ;-) I now get more understanding how to get better encoding video than one year ago. I learn the theory about mini35. ;-)

Leigh,

Here is an example of a shot with many different elements.

Stop to start, cornering, lock-off, backing up (missionary position), stop,
dynamic pan (so named by Cody Deegan), forward shot, corner, and final stop.

The resolution sucks but it is free streaming.

By the way, it took Google forever to get this video live and it doesn't look as good as yours. What format did you submit your video in?

Hi Terry,

Thanks for sharing.

I submit highest quality video which some are original minidv avi file, but it does not make any difference. Google video will downgrade the encoding rate.

Leigh

It seems lots of request to download my video files and crashed the web hosting company server machine last night. The web hosting company temporarily disable this url http://www.salenz.com/movie.

They promised the url will be renabled today.

Sorry about the inconvenience.

I decided to switch web hosting company. So www.salenz.com won't be available for a few days.

Note: Most url link in my previous post was outdated. I can't modify the old post, so I can't change to the right url link.

I have updated the url links to this page for some videos I posted.
