Get the 3X lens FIRST... You might also want to look into the plug-in called SteadyMove, my editor loves it and it can really smooth out shots.

To answer an earlier question. No-the body pod doesn't provide stabilization other than to take the weight off your wrist and put it on to your body. If you try to move your movements will translate to the camera but will be smoother due to the gimbal effect. The "steps" of up and down will still be there.

The more you read here the better off you will be when you do want to get a true stabilization system.

Yeah, I was thinking I should get the 3x first. I'll do that. I'll also look into this "SteadMove". Is this program for an NLE program in particular?

Thanks,

The SteadyMove plug-in, which sounds like it's the same one I got, was incredibly primitive (two sliders) and for me wasn't even usable compared to the free Deshaker. But hey, knock yourself out. ;-)

I see, thanks.

SteadyMove Pro is what you want, he uses it for Premiere Pro and it does wonders... I will post a clip but here is the website

thanks a lot for that link. There were some small sample clips at the top of the page - looks good! (there was also a demo).
