Can your DJI Ronin point straight down?

Hey guys with Ronins!
With a 5-8lb camera rig on it, properly balanced, can your DJI Ronin point the camera straight down? For example to get a shot looking at your feet while you walk.

Seems like mine maxes out the motor capacity and goes into emergency shut down mode.

Be careful of your set up. I mounted my C100 with a 24-70L lens, a 3' HDMI cable, and a wireless lav mic on the acc shoe. I discovered the open monitor was just touching the gimbal arm during a full rotation test mode and it locked up. I had to re-configure my whole set up and close the monitor to get the clearance needed due to the balance needed.

The next time I set this up with my C100 I'm using my small prime lenses. This allows for a compact setup, all the mass is closer to the CG for each axis and creates more clearance on the back side of the C100.

As far as pointing straight down, if you are truly balance correctly and can rotate the handles 90 degrees I would think the whole rig should rotate with out maxing the motors. If the motors are maxing out then something is jamming or one axis is not balance correctly because the motors are working too hard to rotate the mass.

Good Luck, KPO
