I can't imagine how hard it would be to fit a 3sec boom shot into one of your 9 mintute demos. Whatever.

Hi Nick,

With SmoothArm's optional accessory, with a jvc gy-dv5000 which weighs around 13 pounds(6kg), with my height is around 5.77 feet(1.76m), the center of fujinon s20x6.4brm-sd camera lense to the ground is 6.72 feet(2.05m).

Hope answer your question.

Regards
Leigh

By reading these figures, obviously SmoothArm won't want to compete with AR for going from high to low mode during a shot.

If you think about it, the Merlin and various other handheld rigs have a boom range as much if not more than the AR, and in a straight line too--but of course there's a weight limit on the payload.

Leigh, Mikko and Nick are asking a very simple question, and one that you could have measured while you were gathering these figures: what is the practical boom range of the SmoothArm, in inches and/or meters?
