Large photo printing at home
I've got a photo (4 MB, 5184x3456) I want to print on my HP Photosmart C4750. I want to print it out on 8, 8.5x11 sheets of paper, to assemble it as a 34x22 inch piece.
Blow it up, divide it into a grid, crop and then save the individual images to print separately? Any suggestions as to program that I can do this with? Thanks Tom |

I've done that sort of thing with Photoshop. Going back to version 7.

Assuming you've selected 220 ppi, with a 34x22 inch print, you'll need a resolution of 7480 x 4840. You might want to interpolate (up-sample) in Photoshop, while applying bicubic sharpening. Additional sharpening might be required based on taste. Finally, select individual 'boxes' and print. Hope this helps. |
