invisible mode (humor)
Here are my invisible mode instructions:
1) First, get yourself a mirror, about 13 inches square. Superglue a handle on the back. Use a normal-ish lens with a close focus distance such as the early Nikkor 50 F1.8 AIS. Even better would be the Nikkor 55 macro---right? 2) Go to the street 3) Find a subject (preferably a pretty one) and turn your back. 4) Hold up and angle the mirror with the left so you see the subject while pointing the camera into the mirror with your right. 5) Click the shutter. Pretty sneaky, eh? You never have to face the subject and people who do notice you turn away quickly thinking that you're a weirdo. "My pictures from the streets, is it streetshooting? What is not?" ---Herr Hett |
you can even find a adapter that allows to shoot at right angle.

Cool! I'll have to look into this. :)

I see you never tried this. You focus on the mirror and thus won't see anything. Just use a normal lens (or tele) and focus as normal. Enjoy!
Another fun thing is putting your camera on a stick. I use one of 2 parts of 2 metres giving a total height of more than 5 meters (including myself). I use the remote control (or timer). It gives a total unusual view on things. If you want to experiment the posibilities are endless. |
Yes, I have never tried this; but I bet it would be fun. I have used car mirrors and other mirrors with no issues but the shots were B&W and film.
