Wholesale video pricing

I have searched the threads for wholesale pricing, and I have found virtually nothing on the subject. I started selling instructional videos on ebay about 2 years ago. I am expanding and planning to sell wholesale to mail order companies. what price breaks for what quantities are normal? 50% off list for 100 dvds? what about larger or smaller quantities? I hope the orders will be huge, but realistically I assume initial orders will be small. How do I lure them in and still profit? I currently sell them for 18.99 each. questions are, what size orders qualify for wholesale prices? what quantities give what % of discount? Thanks, Allen

does anyone produce a video to sell either retail or wholesale? I have seen several comments about letting amazon market videos, but that seems to be a marginal profit margin.

Yes Allen, I produced my documentary "American Jouster" and wholesaled it to catalogues in the U.S and New Zealand. I gave apx 50% discount, but orders had to be made by the dozen. Thus, orders were for 12, 24, 36 at a time. Retail price for the DVD is still set on my site www.americanjouster.com and I still get orders through the website.

You have to decide what you want, and balance that with what you think the market will demand of YOUR product.

Good luck.
