At this point you may have to get an HD camera if you want to stay in business unless you have enough SD clients to sustain you for a while. You will have to go to HD at some point within the year, my guess, the latest.

HD is still a mere status symbol to a lot of people. And if you factor in what Bill said about independent practitioners, if you press the client on why they want HD, you will probably find out they don't really need it nor do they want to pay any more for it.

Pre-qualifying is quite important here.

Look, this guy mentiones HD and you are thinking of selling your camera and buying a new, more expensive one or two.

We all do this!

But, stop and send it back at the client and see if they are willing to pay for this rather than have us dance on a string.

I agree with Perrone, HD is grand, but it is a money pit.
