Security in the studio

How do you guys and gals with studios / work spaces deal with locking up all your cameras, lenses and accessories? Security cabinets are great, but very pricey. I've been looking at security cages too, which are more reasonable. Any thoughts or links?

Thanks

An equipment cage is your best bet in my opinion. Keep an inventory and a check in / check out list if there are several people involved... just so you know what is where and with whom at any given time. Our studio was a former jewelry shop which has this excellent walk-in vault, armored like a fall-out shelter. In fact it's the one thing which sold my partner on the location. But if we didn't have it, we'd have a cage.
