Which has a better film look -- GL2/VX2100?

If I wanted to have a film look without anything except the camcorder itself, which would I need? I am debating whether the GL2 or VX2100 is good. I know that the GL2 has the frame movie mode and VX2100 has superior low-light capabilities, but if I wanted to do the most realistic film-look available WITHOUT any or much postproduction/lighting/effects, and just use regular recording/frame movie mode (For GL2)...which would be the better camera to get? I know that for the best possible film look, lighting and postproduction is necessary--I'm just saying what would be the best to get for a film-look-style?

You're asking what might be looked at as a loaded question, David -- because generally, you're not going to get a "film look" without doing the things you just said you don't want to do, such as lighting, post production, etc.

No video camcorder is going to give you a "film look." However, the Frame Movie mode on the GL2 will produce more of a non-video feel (which some folks equate to a "film look"). Personally I don't think the excellent low-light performance of the Sony has anything at all to do with a film look. Hope this helps,
