37mm 16:9 anamorphic- thoughts?

Has anyone had any experience with the 16:9 anamorphic century optics make for 37mm cameras like the GS400, elura, optura etc? Like with its bigger brother, in theory it seems to be a great idea. But I also realize that squeezing all that info into such a small lense might produce interesting results. LOL

Here;s the link- http://www.centuryoptics.com/products/dv/16x9/16x9_37mm.htm

Of course, this is for shooting stuff with full theatrical blow up in mind. My camera is the GS400.
Thanks!!
Drew

If you have the GS400---doesn't that already have a good 16:9 mode?
[Or are you trying to do the double 16x9 and effectively yielding a 2.35 image?]

I have the big brother version of the Century 16x9 and love it but the thing cost me seven hundred bucks...It was "controversial" decision as I could have put that money towards a better camera with the enhaced widescreen mode.

Nowadays--with new dv cams out there with the enhanced widescreen mode--you have to think whether or not it is worth the money to buy the thing.

Still--at only $319 from BH --go for it!
