Well my question is, are most of them real?
If there are good related sites like this, does anyone knows them?

What are the pros. and cons.?

I am willing to bet that they are illegal and are just burnt copies of real applications. I think you can normally get as cheap as 30 % of the original price but less than that then it's probably something wrong. Of course you can get student discount which are often very reasonable.

What do I get when I order something from you?

You get the CD(s) with the software in an envelope. You also get the activation key, serial number or CD key necessary to activate the software. In some cases CRACK file is provided.

Can I work with this programs without any law problems?

Yes if you use it from home, but it's forbiden to use any of the software in companies or for comercial use!

Omg.. I was just checking out the 2nd one. So it's definately illegal sites. And businesses that make money on illegal shouldn't be supported. They are often organised criminal organisations.

You can probably get hold of good alternatives that you can use until you can purchase the real deal. Not to mention that there is a great open source community that has made a lot of good applications. I often check out sourceforge.net first to see what I can get free before I buy something. I am not sure but I think Virtual Dub is free... What kind of app do you need or was it just a "general" question?

I was actually trying to purchase som editing softwares, eg. Boris FX, Maggic Bullet, etc.

Another reason not to support pirated software sites is a lot of those online pirated software stores are designed to be "honey traps" for credit card numbers - entering your credit card number into them is equivelent to just posting it in plain text on a news group.

Also, the original author of the software should get some sort of remuneration, as not only did they put a lot of work into the software, but if everyone pirates their software they will stop working on it.

In terms of where to get cheap software, you can sometimes find more affordable legit copies on ebay (Need to ensure they are legit, lot of people trying to sell pirated software on ebay), and you can also use sites such as www.fatwallet.com to find coupons to online stores which you then can apply to software prices.

Yes, I have been using the very excellent audio program known as Audacity from the open source project site you mentioned. There's no need to steal software. If you are using a high end application, you need to be making enough money to pay for it, or more correctly, it should be making much more money for you than the price you paid for it.
