money

hi me and a couple of my friends are getting ready to make a documentary. but what is the best way to get investers to help us with the whole money thing.

basically you find/ask/beg friends & family to GIVE you $$ ..

now to find INVESTORS !!! well one invest ( risk) to make some $$ (reward)
bottom line for any real INEVESTOR is risk vs. reward. so that pretty much does away with persons that are truly INVESTORS based on film/movie projects having a 95% sure chance they are NOT going to get any return on their $$... so one puts their 25-250K at risk for a 5 -30 points ( reward) that has a 95 chance of no return = that isn't investing ...

BUT !!! film/video projects have a " flare, sparkle , grabs one attentions" that some persons have like/love and they see the 5% reward as worth the attention they're hoping to see ? or they just love the project and will take a chance. or they have the filmmaking "thing" like YOU and are willing to give it whatever it takes knowing that the 5% is in your favour 100% and you/them just don't see how anybody can loose $$ = it's a sure bet...

be very careful making offers to strangers without filings business papers etc ... should have no problems approaching friends - family .. you pretty much have to tell investors that they are going to loose their $$ and will probably never see a dime but if it does "make it " they will own a certain percent or X $$ , or both ...
