I don't know what to look for but here is a ques from a newbie
 

I noticed that on a DV recorded shot, it's seems real clear on play back, but does not have the look of a movie. It still looks like a homemade video. Is there a filter or something that makes the video more movie like instead of home video look? I don't know if I made any sense here, but I want to produce some footage that will look more like a movie than a home video when I edit it.

A program for what purpose?

Adobe makes two products that pertain to digital video which I use.

Adobe Premiere is a popular NLE non-linear editor that is in its 6th iteration.

Adobe AfterEffects is an effects program that also has editing facilities. Some people use the two programs interchangeably.

Both Premiere and AfterEffects work well with Adobe Photoshop.

I also use Illustrator in conjunction with Photoshop to make graphics that I then use in both Premiere and AfterEffects.

There is a plug-in called Cinelook that is supposed to help you make your video look more like film by adjusting frames. I haven't used it yet.

Within the After Effects program: select your video clip, copy it, and paste it as a new layer. Hope this helps,

Hi I am a newbie and I am thinking of getting the GL2. I've noticed that the GL2 allows you to record in frame mode. I've heard that this will give it a more film look, but how good is it? Do I film it in 30 images per second or 60 images per second? Will I still have to try this http://www.geocities.com/pixelmagic2002/CineAlta1.html afterward? I know nothing about After Effect 5.5, tho I have it and tried the techniques explained on the above link, I dont know how to render it. I go to composition>Prerender. The problem is on the second composition or after I render and save I dont have my entire clip that I started with, I only have 10 secs or so. Can some one help.
