I forgot to say...

Kodak announced they would no longer work on consumer film improvements on 6/18 of last year. The stock price fell from $32 to $28 the same day, and eventually to $24.

I agree, getting into this debate is old with a capital O; but I think it is not too far away; meaning quicker than we want to admit where film becomes 8 track.

Rob, I was referring to the link by Heath, the original poster. The date in the link is January 15th, the stock rose that day, on Kodak's announcement they were abandoning certain film markets.

All I can say is not to my eye. I printed Cibachromes (Ilfochrome) for 10 years and the digital work I'm producing now exceeds any of my prior film work. I can get a full 7 stops of dynamic range out of my digital files with the new Photoshop CS. This equals or exceeds 35mm film.
