YOu have to see it to believe it.
I moved to a new community to find the greatest and helpful people you could ever hope to encounter in life time here's an example of one of the great locations I have total access too for filming.

But this is my most prized locations. I think it's rare when a location takes a life all its own but I think this is absalutley one of those times. There is also an out door theater (in a old fashioned greek style) around the back I haven't capture that footage as of yet...also the house shot isn't the whole then there is a tower that sticks out the front middle...but it wouldn't fit into the frame. I reall think there should be a 'showcase' area where everyone can share there projects. ENJOY. P.S Here's the real kicker this location is at least worth....ohh 12 some million dollars....and I get it for a grand total of $0000000.00 =) |
Looks creepy and abandoned. What is the nature and history of the property? Is it near Toronto?
|
More blood room scenes, please.

Shiver....
Looks perfect for any horror movie! Lucky guy! |
Reminds me of the building in the movie Session 9, great stair well, hope you gets some good shoots while it's still your little secret.
|
Ya it's about 1hour from toronto. And of course I'm making a thriller/horror type movie I mean come on it's not to often you get access to a location like this. I'm also filming some cross over music videos there that will incorporate characters plots from my short.

<<<Reminds me of the building in the movie Session 9>>>
I only post this to tease Chris Hurd, who is convinced I've worked on every movie ever made (obviously not true)! But as it turns out--I DID work on "Session 9"! It was shot in the Danvers State Mental Hospital in Massachusetts, which has been closed down for 25 years or so. All those creepy murals and dripping walls were original and the real thing, so it was not the most pleasant place to work but really added to the production value. I think it was a fine addition to the horror/thriller genre. And to attempt to make this all relevant to this forum, it was shot on 24P with the Sony 950 (being as this was 2.5 years ago, not a common practice for features at the time). The DP, Uta Briesewitz, currently shoots "The Wire" on 24p for cable and continues to get a great look in that medium. Nice find Frank, good luck with your projects there. Just don't fall through the floor, eh? |
Roof eh?
I couldn't resist climbing to the very top of the building actually...and of all days I picked the day we had ice rain it was solid ice...not a smart move but I just couldn't resist.

Some more....

Really great location. Take full advantage of it.
(Locations are pretty sparse here...the Japanese' favorite word is "No.") |
