Don't forget to put the PTFE on the loaded faces also......

Has this issue been resolved?

Re: Tightening the a Fluid Head

Alastair...well, sort of. Lubricating the 'Clampimg Screw assembly' allowed me to introduce additional mechanical force (torque) when leveling the Fluid Head. The Head eventually will loosen, and begin slipping, but it stays secure longer. I haven't tried the 'fiber washer' mod, yet.

J.

I am very happy with the CF 100 ENG HD 2CF tripod. Carrying it during a trek is another matter though.

Sabyasachi...ROTFLMAO! Humping a tripod and camera kit over 'hill and dale' is something I'm very familiar with. Heh, heh!
