Want to say Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year to all of you!

Early morning on Christmas Day, I met this little guy, who want to say hello to all of you!

Shot with Canon XLH1 + 20x HD lens, due to sparse lightconditions I had to use + 3 gain, shoot at 1/50, 1080i50.

Great footage of the red squirrel, love it

Although there is a red squirrel conservation plan in England there are only a few pockets of reds that survive,

The introduction of the grey in the late 19th Century, the grey has become a serious pest.

Most of the conservation areas for the red are in the north of England, and one in the south a small island in Pool harbour.

There are an estimated 2.5 million Greys in the UK and less than 200,000 reds.

So it will be some time before I see them in the oak woods that are around the area I live.
